How to Clean a Private Aircraft Interior

A private aircraft interior has hundreds of thousands of dollars invested into it, and therefore it is incredibly important that if you have a private aircraft, or aircraft of any sort that you make sure to have it cleaned properly. If you cannot do it yourself for whatever reason, this means that you must get it done professionally, which is in fact the far preferred way in this case.

There are certain parts of a private aircraft interior that should be cleaned daily. This includes the carpeting, as you should check the carpet and upholstery for any types of substances that may be harder to get off if left on longer; ashtrays, as you should remove the ashtray liners and then empty the contents into the trash container; as for any drop-down tables, in this case you should clean all of the tables using an approved private aircraft interior cleaner and then rinse off before setting back in position.

As for seat belts, you should wipe all seat belts with a cloth that is dampened with an approved cleaner and then place the belts with buckle and tab crossed on the passenger seat. As well, all windows and armrests and other areas should be wiped clean. In regards to the galley areas, the trash should be removed, countertops should all be wiped with a cloth and with a disinfectant, all microwaves and coffee makers should be rinsed and disinfected and left open to allow to dry, all floors should be properly mopped, all trash containers should be wiped out and disinfected, as well all carpets should be vacuumed and steam cleaned if necessary.

As for items that can be cleaned periodically as opposed to daily, this includes such things as: blankets, storage bins, window blinds, ceilings, and windows. However, if you are not interested in doing any of this yourself, there is always the option of hiring a professional to come in and do it for you, although you obviously will be paying more in regards for their labor.

Benefits of Aerial Advertising

First, aerial advertising is cost effective. You can easily reach thousands of people in a small period of time. You don’t have to assume they’ll watch the commercial and not flip the channel. You can be assured that when airplane messages appear, they will look skyward and pay attention to the advertisement that’s passing over. That means there is no money wasted on advertising that won’t be read or paid attention to. In fact, it’s estimated that plane advertising costs about 50 cents per thousand people. No matter the deal offered by a radio station or a newspaper, it’s hard to beat the return on the aerial advertising dollar. Cost effective it is.

It’s unusual and provides a break from the usual. People pay attention to aerial advertising, likely because it’s not something you see often. When they are laying in the sun on the beach on a lazy July day, they look skyward when airplane messages appear. In addition, that novelty leads to memory. That is, people remember the aerial adds they see more than they remember other types of advertising. This is partly due to the novelty – they stop and say “hey, look at that plane and the banner!” – But it’s also the attention the banners garner. Studies show that people will generally watch the aerial advertising as is passes over and will continue to watch it until it disappears from sight. That’s a solid block of time where the intended audience is focusing on the advertiser’s message.

People remember aerial advertising more than any other advertising medium. Studies have shown that when questioned, 77% of the people who had just seen airplane advertising remembered what was being advertised on the banner. Another 67% could remember what was being advertised. These numbers are far greater than the response to other kinds of advertising like radio and print ads. All of these benefits add up to one great benefit – better use of your advertising dollar and a better return on that dollar.

Aerial Advertising services are available from companies that specialize in this type of advertising. The Internet is a good source of information when it comes to choosing aerial advertising services. Arnold Aerial Advertising is one of the companies that provide such services. Located in New York, Arnold Aerial Advertising provides nationwide service with affordable rates.

Avionics Schools Get Technical

Avionics systems are an integral part of aircraft design and have increased aircraft capability. Simply put, an avionics technician designs and implements the technologies that power aircrafts. As such, an avionics technician must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose complex aircraft systems, which may include repairing and maintaining components used for aircraft navigation and radio communications, weather radar systems, and other instruments and computers. And since a lot of time is spent repairing electronic systems, such as computerized controls, an avionics technician may be required to analyze and develop solutions to complex electronic problems.

Advances in computer technology, aircraft systems, and the materials used to manufacture airplanes have made an avionics career a highly technical one. To get on board, you’ll need to enroll in one of about 170 avionics schools certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Avionics schools offer focused, hands-on learning, enabling you to work in classrooms, on computers, in labs, and inside an actual cockpit to gain real-world skills. In fact, the FAA requires that avionics schools offer students a minimum of 1,900 actual class hours. Training at avionics schools normally lasts from 18 to 24 months and provides practical instruction with tools and equipment used on the job.

Currently, training at avionics schools places greater emphasis on technologies such as turbine engines, composite materials, and aviation electronics, which are increasingly being used in the construction of new aircraft. That’s why, in order to succeed in your avionics career, you’ll need to continually update your skills and knowledge of new technology as well as advances in aircraft technology.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, aircraft and avionics equipment mechanics and service technicians held about 142,000 jobs in 2004, most of which were at major airports near large cities. Median hourly earnings of the trained avionics technician were about $21.30 that same year, with the highest 10 percent earning more than $27.85. An avionics career is best for those who are prepared to master the intricacies of the aircraft and work with airframe and power plant technicians. Cross-training from avionics schools and the ability to work with complex aircraft systems provide the best job prospects. And, the avionics technician who is certified to remove or reinstall airplane equipment is in the greatest demand.
